It is my dream home, 1/3 of the size of our current home. My husband won't even consider it. We are 6 years into a 30 year mortgage on a house that he bought. I am not on the mortgage or title. (My choice). We have a few thousand in savings but more in credit card debt. He invests money automatically every month into his 401 K.
It makes me crazy!! He is 62 and I'll be 60 in a few months. We have 4 millenials at home that we 100% financially support.
My oldest, 30 years, is an e-sports coach for a small community college. I encourage him to live small while having the job of his dreams. My 28 year old works part time at the college's book store. The 2 remaining 26 year olds do not work for now. All 4 have serious chronic illnesses, which is why we support them until they all are working and earning enough. This is not sustainable!
