I don’t usually delve into politics.

It’s pretty obvious where I stand. Plus, I think most political discussions these days are drivel. I prefer to not participate in them unless I feel like I have something to add.

I feel like I have something to add.

If politics was the sole motivation for moving to Spain, Trump losing and Kamala Harris winning wouldn’t make me want to stay. Because the thing that’s going to help her win is—ultimately—the thing that’s fundamentally wrong with American politics and—subsequently—America.
