The other day, I posted a series of straightforward survey questions—
The idea was to get a survey of the landscape—always helpful—then dig deeper with a subset of other subscribers. And, damn, if the qualitative responses I received via email from a handful of subscribers didn’t deliver. I got to know each subscriber a bit better reading their accounts.
Here are the headlines I created for the stories I’ll publish over the next several days where paid newsletter subscribers answered a few questions about their situations and their concerns for their and their kids’ futures—
“I Live In A Run-Down Motel, And ‘Rent’ Still Runs $55.95 A Night”
“I Worry About The Political Situation Both Here And Abroad”
“His Son Pays Him $400 Rent: 'Just Enough To Sting, But Nowhere Near Market Rate'"
I like to say we have a diverse set of subscribers, and I think this exercise proves it.
Those stories hit in the days to follow.
Today, the quantitative results and a couple accounts from two other subscribers not mentioned in the bullet points above.
See you in less than two weeks, Barcelona!
