As you might know, my partner and I will spend February in Spain and Italy.
The intinerary—Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid, Rome, Naples, Barcelona
For the month of February, I’m currently planning a month-long series of 20 Never Retire newsletter posts in 28 days.
Each post will include the following (in no particular order)—
Photography from the cities we visit.
Thoughts, observations, highlights from the cities we visit.
A breakdown of what we spent each day to compare the cost of living in Spain and Italy to the United States and elsewhere.
A Never Retire checklist item. A total of 20 practical money/work/life-related boxes you need to check to live the semi-retired life you wanna live now and for the duration.
Then, in March, I’ll do 20 posts in 31 days, meticulously detailing each of the 20 items.
If you haven’t already now is the time to become or upgrade to a paid subscriber.
Because the current 20% discount on an annual subscription ($40 instead of $50) will end at the end of 2022. Founding members will always receive a lifetime subscription after their initial payment.
Plus, I will put a majority of the aforementioned February and March posts behind the paywall.
I appreciate all susbcriptions—free and paid—however quantity (total number of subscribers) isn’t the focus when operating a newsletter like this.
Why? Because viability and longevity depend on paid subscriptions.
And, as
recently noted in his newsletter:Because an email subscriber is worth more than 100 “followers” on any social media platform.
I’ll add a word to that—an engaged email subscriber. And, while I wholly agree on the value—or lack thereof—of social media “followers,” this is true of any content platform.
As noted the other day, I intend to write this newsletter until the day I die (or, as it will likely end up, a few days or so before I die!). I want it, along with my work on Medium, to be the sole bread and butter of my Never Retire strategy.
Speaking of Medium, I am about to expand my work on that platform as well. I’m starting a new Medium publication that isn’t about money. However, it’s about a broad area of interest that comes up frequently in my personal finance articles.
Really looking forward to this
Excited for the travel posts!
