Never Retire: Spanish Bling
Do Spaniards keep calendar invites to remind themselves of their mealtimes?
We didn’t have time to cover this in yesterday’s Never Retire newsletter installment.
Ahead of moving abroad, it can be easy to become obsessed with doing things—everything—the way, in this case, Spaniards (apparently) do it. Particularly eating. While we’ll definitely eat differently—in many, if not most ways—it seems a bit strange to attempt to carbon copy an ideal that I don’t think Spaniards even keep a calendar on. Life—which includes eating—just happens here.
So, let’s do it today, as we wait for a response to our residence permit application that we submitted last Tuesday. Once that happens, we’ll have plenty to do and detail here!
Right now, we’re riding a nine-day publishing streak. I’m doing my logistical hardest and creative damnedest to write this newsletter on a daily basis. The more support I have from paid subscribers, the more likely I can maintain this pace over the course of the next 50 years.
