How to accept the reality that you'll Never Retire
In social science, a social category refers to a collection of individuals who have at least one attribute in common but otherwise do not necessarily interact.
Social scientists usually define social categories based on demographic attributes, such as age or ethnicity. For our purposes, those of us who have concluded we’ll Never Retire form a social category.
Within this category, two main sub-groups probably exist.
People who didn’t buy into traditional retirement in the first place.
Those of us who spent years saying I’ll Never Retire, yet didn’t do much about it. This might not be past tense to you. You might be experiencing this right now.
All of us in the second group can learn from those in the first.
If you’re in the second group and currently struggling to accept your reality, you can learn from people in the first group as well as those of us who have overcome the fear we sometimes associate with an inability to traditionally retire.
