I’m happy we did this housing survey and that many of you responded. Yes, I appreciate it, but, just as important, we’re in the process of learning a little about one another. No matter the retirement or semi-retirement journey you’re on, this is super helpful.

So far, we have featured two subscribers on impressive tracks to traditional retirement. And another who does blue collar work, spends $1,000 a month on housing and hopes to retire in Ireland.

Today, we head to Key West, Florida.

I’m such an idiot.

When I moved from home in 1995, I landed in South Florida. But I never visited Key West. Since then I wanted to because I have an image of it not being anything like Florida (especially the 2023 iteration of the Sunshine State). After reading Jenna’s description of her situation, turns out I was right. Key West seems like an interesting place.

So, let’s roll with Jenna’s own well-crafted words, starting with part of an email she sent to me, followed by her responses to my questions on housing and retirement.
