I Got Lucky And Fell Into A Pretty Huge Freelance Writing Job
How it fits into my semi-retired life
Finally—after three months of writing articles for them—I can announce that I landed a freelance gig writing personal finance and investing articles for a CNN venture called CNN Underscored. It’s an ambitious project from CNN, as evidenced by the scope of the content and the size and stature of the team they’ve put together. I’m working with some solid people.
Long story short—it’s a dream freelance writing job in about every way possible.

You might be going with a financial advisor to avoid the aforementioned pitfalls of modern-day investing. With zero commissions and an abundance of information, it’s easy to over-trade, misuse technology or simply get freaked out when the market goes down.
A good financial advisor can succinctly and confidently tell you their investment philosophy. It’s their job to help you see the big picture and stay the course. However, the chosen path must make sense.
