Thanks to all of the new subscribers and founding membership upgrades from the last few weeks. I appreciate it. I feel like the newsletter is hitting stride. And I’m not about to slow down.
Lately, I have been paying close attention to differentiating the content while tying it together across our handful of core themes—practical personal finance, living the semi-retired life as a lifestyle into and beyond relative old age and me and my partner’s eventual move to Spain.
The latter doesn’t happen without the two former. Nothing you want in life—assuming you’re of modest means, making just decent or better money—happens without logical money strategies and a well-thought out and comprehensive, if not methodical vision of how you want to live your life now and for the duration.
Of course, housing might be the most important part of this entire equation.
By the end of today’s installment, you’ll get a good sense of just how much money me and my partner expect to save by relocating from Los Angeles to Valencia, Spain. It’s a move I’m putting a lot of pressure on myself to make happen sooner rather than later because it makes the most lifestyle and financial sense as we head into the second act of our lives.
